LAKE NAHUEL HUAPI
The impressive beauty of this lake, the largest in this National Park, offers matchless fishing alternatives and large trout. Trolling, spinning and fly-fishing (see special programs) may be practiced.
Trolling is a technique that enables the combination of several factors. It may be practiced at any age and no previous experience or physical fitness are required to fish a large trout specimen (from 2 to 5 kg). Trout fished in this lake are generally larger than those caught using other fishing modalities in the park fisheries. There is an average of two to ten bites, according to the duration of the outing. Catch and release is practiced without causing any damage, which does not imply one should not enjoy a trout specimen cooked on board by our sailor, respecting the regulations, or sending it to be smoked at our favourite smoke house. Furthermore, you may enjoy sailing and fishing, whether alone or in the company of your family or friends and an excellent and very complete service on board.
Outings may take half a day (4 hours) or all day (8 hours). According to the hired craft, up to six passengers with a maximum of three rods per boat (provided by us), one per fishing permit, are allowed.
Trout specimens dwelling this lake are rainbow trout (oncorhynchus mykiss), and brown trout (salmo trutta). They weigh from 1,500 to 5,000 grams and have excellent quality, as food is plentiful in this fishery and the water oxigin level and temperature are optimum.
DURATION: HALF A DAY OR ALL DAY (4/8 HOURS)
ITINERARY: it may vary according to weather conditions.
CRAFT: 9-METER-LONG CRUISE OR 5-METER-LONG RAPID LAUNCH.
APPROPRIATE CLOTHING: suitable clothing for outdoor excursions, soft sole shoes, loose trousers made of strong cloth, warm sweatshirt or long-sleeved shirt and waterproof jacket. Also, sunglasses, cap and sun protection.

IT INCLUDES: service on bard, drinks, water, coffee, tea, mate, soft drinks, beer, wine, smoked products, lunch, fruit, chocolates, fishing gear (trolling, spinning) and guides.
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE: fishing permits, other equipment, transportation to the harbor.
PROGRAMS OF SEVERAL DAYS:
If one day fishing is not enough, this alternative consists in overnight stays at 5-star hotels on the lake shores (Hotel Puerto Blest, Hosteria Isla Victoria, Hotel Peñon del Lago, Hotel Bahia Manzano, etc.), with a maximum of 4 people on board. Thus, the prgram may be enjoyed to the maximum and there is more time for fishing, sharing with the guides, touring around the lake and resting.
